In the morning of 12th Dec., the Conference on launching for the initiative of household energy saving models was held at the head office of the Vietnam Women’s Union.

Present at the Conference were the representatives from Ministry of Industry, University of Technology, Development Cooperation Agency of the Netherland, and provincial beneficial Women’s Unions. This conference was co-held by the VWU and the National targeted Program on energy saving.

The objective of this project is to promote the initiative for engergy saving in the community, thus creating economic and social benefits, contributing to evironment protection and proper using of fuel resources for sustainable social and economic development.

At this conference, energy saving tools and models were introduced by the New Energy Research Center – University of Technology, Development Cooperation Agency of the Netherland, Rang Dong Thermos joint-stock company. Those were warter boilers by solar power, biogas cellar, economic compact light, etc.

At the conference, the representatives from project women’s unions eagerly supported and commited to carry out this program.
