In order to promote the relationship between Vietnam and Cuba in general and women of the two countries in particular, on October 8th, the VWU organized a meeting to commemorate the 60th anniversary of relations between Vietnamese and Cuban women and to talk about the relationship between the two countries. Attending the meeting were VWU leaders, staff, Cuban Embassy’s staff, Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Association and more than 100 students of Vietnam Women's Academy.

On July 15, 2020, VWU Vice President Tran Thi Huong had a meeting with Ms. Hoang Thi Le Hang, Country Director of Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA in Vietnam, to discuss cooperation between the two organizations.

On July 3, Dr. Guido Erpo Hildner, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam visited and learned about the effectiveness of microfinance activities at Tinh Thuong One Member Limited Liabilities Microfinance Institution (TYM) under the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU).

At the meeting with Ms. Elisa Fernadez - UN Women Representative in Viet Nam on the afternoon of June 9th, 2020, VWU President Ha Thi Nga expressed her concurrence on women and gender issues raised by UN Women Representative and admitted that they are the common concerns and key areas of further cooperation of the two organizations.
