Born in 1966, Ms. Lai is a member of Chapter 3, Phu Hoa Women's Union. She first volunteered to donate blood 20 years ago and now she does it on a 4-month routine.

Ms. Lai said, her blood donation times does not follow any cycle or plan, as she goes whenever the Center of Hematology and Blood Tranfusion in the Central region urgently needs blood to save people. Her name with phone number has become a familiar "address" for the Blood Bank of the Center. She said, every drop of blood is a gift from my heart for unlucky people when needed. I am happy that I could make a meaningful contribution to saving patients' life.

After the first blood donation, Ms. Lai felt healthier. Searching for information on voluntary blood donation, she realized this humane action also brings numerous health benefits to blood donor if done properly at the right interspacing.
