Merit Medal “For the Development of Vietnamese women” conferred on international and Vietnamese friends
On 15th December 2005, the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) conferred solemnly the Merit Medal “For the Development of Vietnamese women”
on Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Coordinator, Canada Fund for Local Initiatives, Canadian Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam; Mr. Steve Sherlock, President, Aid to Southeast Asia Organization (USA); Ms. Bhavia Carol Wagner and Ms. Elizabeth Sibley, coordinators of Vietnam Scholarship program, Global Exchange (USA). The two latters were unable to attend this ceremony but their contributions were introduced and highly appreciated.
Ms. Nguyen Phuong Minh and Ms. Nguyen Thi Oanh, VWU Vice Presidents, leaders and staff of VWU Departments and many press representatives were present at the ceremony.
