National Women’s Physical Training and Sports Festival 2019

In the morning of June 20th, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) in coordination with the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee organized the 2019 National Women’s Physical Training and Sports Festival at the Provincial multi-purpose hall.

Speaking at the Festival, VWU President Nguyen Thi Thu Ha stressed that the 2019 National Women’s Physical Training and Sports Festival is a practical activity to deploy the Vietnam Health Programme and to celebrate the Vietnamese Family Day (June 28th). In the spirit of "Solidarity, honesty, nobility and dedication", she believed that this was an event to encourage female officials and members and people in raising the spirit of sports in accordance with their conditions as well as an opportunity for women to learn, exchange experiences and tighten their solidarity.

After the opening ceremony, a friendly badminton match was held between the duos State Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh – Permanent Deputy Secretary of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Quat and VWU PresidentNguyen Thi Thu Ha –Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People’s CommitteeNguyen Huu Thanh.

State Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh (the fifth from the left), VWU President Nguyen Thi Thu Ha (the third from the left) participated in the friendly badminton match at the opening ceremony.

The festival attracted almost 400 delegates, including nearly 300 athletes who are officials, members of woman unions and people from 42 provinces and cities around the country.The participants competed in four categories, namely volleyball, badminton, aerobic and folk-dance.

After two days with the dedication and fair play matches, the Festival closed with a lot of good impressions and success with the spirit "We are the winner!

 VWU President Nguyen Thi Thu Ha and Deputy Secretary of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Dao Hong Lan presented the special prize and first prize to the teams of Bac Ninh, Bac Giang and the Ministry of Public Security.
