Opening session of 13th National Women’s Congress

On the morning of March 10, the 13th National Women’s Congress opened at the National Convention Center, with the participation of 959 official delegates representing women of all strata across the country.

The Congress was honorably attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and various leaders and former leaders of the Party and State, provinces/cities, governmental agencies and mass organizations.

The opening session included an opening speech by Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) President, a brief report about VWU's activities and the Central Executive Committee's performance over the past 5 years, and clip, interventions by Congress delegates, and a remark by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
