VN women’s football team 32nd in world rankings

The International Football Federation (FIFA) has announced that the Vietnamese national women’s football team ranks 32nd in the world table.

The team dropped o­ne place in the world rankings compared to last quarter as FIFA hasn’t added points for their winning matches in the 25th Southeast Asian Games in Laos.

In the Southeast Asian region, Viet Nam stand top with Thailand and Myanmar as runners-up. While in the Asian region as a whole, Viet Nam rank 6th behind North Korea, Japan, China, Australia and South Korea.

FIFA has also said that with the recent outstanding performances, the national men’s team climbed seven places in comparison to the last month in the world rankings.

At present, Viet Nam rank 123rd out of 201 teams worldwide and fourth in Southeast Asia.

Thailand are 105th in the world, and still top the region. Singapore and Indonesia follow.
