Women's Union of Phu Tho Province to help 688 households out of poverty and to support for pandemic prevention with over 13 billion VND

The Phu Tho WU recently holds a conference to review 2021’s works & women's movement and deploy tasks for the year 2022.

In 2021, WUs at all levels in Phu Tho province have well implemented emulation movements and WU’s key tasks with 8/8 sets of emulation targets achieved and exceeded as planed; active communication for the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’ Councils at all levels for 2021 – 2026 term.

Besides, all levels WUs have initiated economic development models for women; supported business start-ups and cooperatives establishment. Six hundred and eighty eight poor and near-poor households have been helped to sustainably escape from poverty and to improve their living quality.

Also, WUs at all levels are very active in the Covid-19 prevention and control, such as mobilizing staffs and members to raise awareness of epidemic prevention, launching the movement "Each woman member donates 1 face mask to prevent Covid 19"; connecting and consuming more than 60 tons of agricultural products of 6 provinces; giving gifts to frontline officials; supporting poor women members who are infected with Covid 19, donating necessities, medicines, medical supplies worth over 13 billion VND to women members, children and people in outbreak areas within and outside the province.

As for 2022’s theme "Innovation and creativity in implementing the Resolution of the Women's Congress at all levels, contributing to the implementation of the 13th  National Women’s Congress’ Resolution", all levels WUs in the province continue to communicate and mobilize staffs and its members well  achieving the "dual goals" of effectively fighting the COVID-19 pandemic and developing the economy; carrying out activities towards the 13th National Women's Congress.
