From January 16 to 23, 2022, the UN Women in Viet Nam in collaboration with the Vietnam Women’s Union delivered 3,000 gender sensitive essential packages, worth 3 billion VND (150,000 USD), to 3,000 women in Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Binh and Nghe An. These are migrant workers who are facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are also at high risk of gender-based violence.

From Novermber 4 – 5, 2021, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU), the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) jointly organized the "Vietnam - Korea Bilateral Workshop: Exchanging effective models and practices supporting married migrant women and their families”. This is under the project “Strengthening Vietnamese Capacity for Sustainable Reintegration of Returning Migrants Women and their Households in Vietnam” funded by KOICA.

On November 20, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) in collaboration with the Cuban Women's Federation held an online high-level meeting between the women's organizations of the two countries.

On the afternoon of November 26, Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) Ha Thi Nga had a courtesy meeting with Mr. Obaid Saeed Al Dhaheri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Vietnam.

High intelligence together with great bravery will help Vietnamese businesswomen overcome the formidable challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and develop their business in a sustainable fashion, according to the Chairwoman of the Vietnam Association of Women Entrepreneurs (VAWE) Thai Huong.

The seminar "Supporting women in digital transformation amid the Covid-19 pandemic towards sustainable development" has opened up orientations and opportunities for domestic and international agencies and organizations to join hands with women in the digital transformation process, contributing to gender equality and sustainable development of the country.

In response to the program “Million gifts of great solidarity for the South to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic” launched by the Central Vietnam Women's Union (VWU), on September 7, Ms. Elena Bezdetko, Wife of the Russian Federation Ambassador to Vietnam, on behalf of Embassy staffs, has presented the gifts to support the VWU’s Covid-19 prevention work.

On August 27, 2021, the Women's Union of Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong province deployed a support package of 3,800 food kits for women and children badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

On August 20, 2021, Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) - presented the VWU’s Merit Medal “For the Development of Vietnamese Women” to Mr. Kamal Malhotra - United Nations Resident Coordinator in the Vietnam - for his contributions to the equality and development of Vietnamese women.

On July 23rd, on behalf of the VWU Presidium, VWU’s Vice President Bui Thi Hoa presented the Merit Medal for the Development of Vietnamese Women to Ms. Cho Jung Myung - Deputy Country Director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Vietnam.
