• Strengthening Vietnam Women's Union’s capacity for sustainable reintegration of returnee women migrants

    On August 23, 2019, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU), the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) signed the Record of Discussions (ROD) of the project “Strengthening Vietnamese Capacity for Sustainable Reintegration of Returning Women Migrants and Their Households in Vulnerable Conditions in Vietnam” (hereinafter referred to as “the Project”).
  • Micro-insurance for poor and vulnerable women that most affected by climate change and natural disaster risks

    In the afternoon of May 23, 2019 in Hanoi, the Central Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) andthe German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ) jointly organized a workshop on micro-insurance in the agricultural sector and response to climate change. The workshop was also attended by delegates from the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, representatives of local branches of the Tinh Thuong One-member Limited Liability Microfinance Institution (TYM) of the VWU.
  • Farewell to international intimate friends of Vietnam Women’s Union

    On the morning of May 30, 2019, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) organized a farewell ceremony to Mr. and Mrs. Teumer - Country Representative of the German Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation (SBFIC) in Vietnam, a close collaborator of the VWU since 2005.

    From 6 to 10 May 2019, a delegation of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Party Central Committee member, VWU President - paid a working visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) at the invitation of the Socialist Women’s Union of Korea (SWUK).
  • Vietnamese-American Women's Relationship Strengthened

    From March 27th to April 6th 2019, a delegation from the Vietnam Women's Union led by Vice President – Mme.Nguyen Thi Tuyet took part in a study visitto the United States focusing on gender equality and women’s development.
