A forum on co-operative relations in deploying a progarmme on assisting poor districts was organised by the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Welfare in Hanoi on March 18.

The Vietnam Women’s Union is very happy to be informed that the VIII National Women’s Congress of the Cuban Women’s Union was ended successfully and comrade YOLANDA FERRER GOMEZ was re-selected as General Secretary of Cuban Women’s Union.

At the invitation of the Korean Democratic Women’s Union, Mme Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, member of the Vietnam Party Central Committee, president of the Vietnam Women’s Union led the Vietnamese Women’s delegation to pay a friendship visit to Korea during 23-27 Feb, 2009.

In the morning of February 12th 2009 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the cooperation of ASEAN Fund, organized a workshop on ASEAN Fund and Solidarity Fund-Japan, with an aim to provide information and guidelines on making proposals for projects to be funding in ASEAN to improve the effectiveness and quality of making proposals and the implementation of cooperative projects in the Initiatives for ASEAN Integration.
