  • Painting contest about Vietnam for Hungarian children launched

    A painting competition for Hungarian children has been launched as part of activities held by the Vietnam Women Association in Hungary to further promote Vietnam and the Vietnamese community for Hungarian people who have little information about the country’s current development.

    American singer Denise Mininfield's second tour of Vietnam will take her to the country's four largest cities beginning tomorrow, according to the US Consulate in HCM City.

  • Marriage between Vietnamese women and Korean men - A close connection and coordination between Vietnam and Republic of Korea should be established

    To establish a hotline for marriages between Vietnamese women and Korean men was agreed to submit to Governments of Vietnam and Republic of Korea by Mrs. Kang Kim Sil, Korean Ambassador of Gender, Korean Former Minister of Justice and Mrs. Ha Thi Khiet, Member of the Party’s Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women's Union and Chairwoman of the Vietnam National Committee for the Advancement of Women at a working session on Jan 8th, 2007 in the working visit of Mrs. Kang in Vietnam.

    Nineteen-year-old Vietnamese Australian pianist Nguyen Van Anh will perform at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music this Friday.

  • Traditional Tet festival to embrace overseas Vietnamese

    President Tran Duc Luong will deliver the welcome address at the traditional Tet festival with overseas Vietnamese dubbed “Spring in the Motherland” at the National Convention Centre on February 9. The festival is expected to attract the participation of around 1,000 overseas Vietnamese.
