The Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper in Ho Chi Minh City on Oct. 20 launched a writing competition for Vietnamese women in and outside the country.

Over the past years, the Vietnam Women Union (VWU) has devised many practical programmes of action to realise the Party resolution and the national target programme on hunger and poverty reduction. Thuan Chau district Women’s Union has paid a great attention on training of the core staff at the grassroots level as a force to motivate the developmental movement.

In early 2005, Lang Son Women’s Union directed Women’s Union at grassroots levels to conduct the Women’s Congress (term 2006 – 2011).
