This program was a great success leaving the audience with many enjoyable memories.

The “Un air du Vietnam” program works in cooperation with Rennes University 1, INSA de Rennes School and various humanitarian organizations in the Bretagne region.

The program was opened with an exhibition of photographs and objects that intended to brief the audience on Vietnam’s tangible cultural objects.

In cooperation with the INSA de Rennes library, the exhibition offered an opportunity for international friends to make acquaintances with Vietnamese literature. French versions of Kieu Tale by Nguyen Du, A Cricket’s Diary by To Hoai, Military Street by Chu Lai, When one is young by Phan Thi Vang Anh were available to view.

The exhibition was followed by an impressive cultural performance of folk songs, folk and royal dances, demonstrations of traditional festivals, a show of traditional dress ‘ao dai’ and video clips about the diversity of Vietnamese culture.

The performance ended with cultural exchanges, in which Vietnamese and French students sang songs about peace and friendship. This memorable night was closed with the exciting mua sap - group dance with bamboo poles.
