4,000 people in 5 provinces/cities participate in a program to clean the environment

On World Environment Day, June 5, 2006, more than 4,000 participants from the War Veterans Association, Women’s Union, Schools, Youth Union and Fatherland Front took part in a national attempt to clean every country lane and alley, repair the roads up to the hamlets and clear the bush.

The program took place in 9 towns of 5 provinces namely Lam Dong, Hai Phong, Thai Binh,Bac Kan and Hung Yen.

 

All levels of Lam Dong Women’s Union responded to the World Environment Day by mobilizing women farmers not to use prohibited insecticide, pesticide and all kinds of fertilizers.

 

9 towns of 5 provinces/cities took part in this program:

 

An Lao and Tien Lang (Hai Phong)

Vuong and Phung Hung (Hung Yen)

An Bai and Hung Nhan (Thai Binh)

Na Phac and Bang Lung (Bac Kan)

Da Lat (Lam Dong)
