DATO’ KALSOM ABDUL RAHMAN

 She holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) degree from the University of Malaya and a Masters in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Oregon, USA.

She has served in various capacities in the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (“MITI”) including as the Director of Industrial Development and Minister Counsellor (Economics Affairs) of the Mission of Malaysia to the European Union, Brussels, Belgium, Chief Executive Officer of the Small and Medium Development Corporation (SMIDEC) and Deputy Secretary-General (Industry) of MITI.

She sits o­n the Board of several listed companies and private companies.

Dato’ Kalsom is also a member of the Industrial Planning Committee for the Third Industrial Master Plan as the Chairperson of the Technical Resource Group o­n Development of SMEs.
