Get-together among patriotic Vietnamese Cambodian residents

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tai – Vice President of HCM City People’s Committee expressed the gratefulness of Party’s Committee and authorities of the City to Vietnamese Cambodian residents for their lofty contribution and sacrifice during the two resistances wars.

Mr. Tai also said the City has been trying to provide household inhabitant record books to people but still met difficulties.

According to him, due to lack of necessary papers and Vietnamese language skill, many people could not acquire Vietnamese citizenship.

The City proposed that the Ministry of Justice abrogate the exam to get a certificate of Vietnamese language. If this proposal is not accepted, the exam fees will be born by the City.
