Get-together of distinguished women in education sector
Attending the event were Vice Chairwoman of the State, Mme. Truong My Hoa; Former Vice Chairwoman of the State, Mme. Nguyen Thi Binh; President of the National Committee for the Advancement of Women, Mme. Ha Thi Khiet and MOET Minister, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hien.
The 140 delegates who are professors, associate professors, teachers and administrators who have been working in the far, remote and under-developed areas (for at least 10 years), representing over 700,000 female staff in the education sector.
Mme. Truong My Hoa spoke highly of the accomplishments made by female education staff and expressed her sympathy with those working in the remote and difficult areas.
The Vice Chairwoman of the State proposed at the get-together the following 5 points:
Firstly, to improve communication and education among education staff at all levels to enhance their awareness on the role and status of female teachers in education renovation.
Secondly, to devise a training and nurturing plan for female teachers to acquire standard qualifications, which prioritizes those working in the remote and isolated areas.
Thirdly, to consolidate and upgrade the Education Sectoral Committee for the Advancement of Women and the Trade Union’s Female Employee Divisions in training institutions.
Fourthly, to strengthen the leadership by the Party at all levels of the sector to the women affairs in each training institution under the new circumstances.
Fifthly, to promote the women’s own potentials to build up a contingent of capable female staff.
