Research areas:

Educational sociology: researcher on the influence of sexism in the construction of sex sterotypes in school from 1988 through 1993 in several dimentions (coeducation, hidden curricula, class and sex sterotypes, etc.) demonstrating the effects of sexism in education (e.g. differences in the learning of mathematics in boys and girls).Research Reports PIIE-FONDECYT (1988) and Catholic University of Chile (1993) and other articles and working papers.

Political sociology: Co-researcher of political system and social actors during the Allende period. (CLACSO. Santiago, 1977).Characterization of women´s grass root and formal organizations existing during the military regime, from a crossed economic and gender system perspective, with the support of Friederich Naumann Foundation grant, published in Buenos Aires, 1987.

Labour and employment:influence of sex roles in formal and informal market (PREALC 77) characterization of unemployed grass root organizations (FLACSO 77); characterization of peasants cooperatives (FLACSO 78); legislation review and case study on child labour in Chile (PREALC78); sex differences in unemployment dynamics in the Chilean labour market(SERNAM:2003).
