Strengthening connection and cooperation between Vietnam Women's Union and Korean Socialist Women’s Union
Vice President Tran Thi Huong extended the VWU’s congratulations to the Korean Socialist Women’s Union (KSWU) on its 7th Congress, which was held successfully in June 2021 and to Ms. Kim Jong Sun, who was elected as the KSWU President. Ms. Tran Thi Huong shared that the VWU had already sent a congratulatory message to the KSWU, expressing the belief that under the leadership of the Korean Workers' Party, the KSWU would grow stronger and have a successful term.
The VWU Vice President also informed the DPRK Embassy representatives about ongoing Women’s Congresses at local levels towards the 13th National Women’s Congress to be held in March 2022.

Ms. Tran Thi Huong recalled important events held in the year 2020 such as those marking the 70th anniversary of Vietnam - DPRK diplomatic ties, 90th and 75th founding anniversaries of the VWU and the KSWU respectively. Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the two Women's Unions were unable to organize joint activities as well as exchange delegations. However, the two organizations maintained information sharing, congratulatory messages exchange on the occasion of important events of the two sides.
The VWU Vice President also hoped when the COVID-19 pandemic is successfully contained, the DPRK Embassy will connect for the delegation exchange and promoting information sharing, friendship and cooperation between the two women’s organizations.

The DPRK Embassy Chargé d'affaires a.i showed high appreciation of the VWU’s fine sentiments for the DPRK and KSWU. He affirmed that DPRK Embassy would do its best to act as a bridge to promote the exchange and cooperation between the VWU and KSWU.
In the coming time, the DPRK Embassy will regularly send the VWU information by the DPRK’s Party and State related to women and expects to receive from the VWU information about Vietnamese women, thereby contributing to enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between women in Vietnam and DPRK in particular, the two countries in general.
