Teaching Traditional Industry to Ethnic Minority Women

Recently, Quan Hoa Women‘s Union in Thanh Hoa Province has organized a training class to teach and develop the traditional textile industry among local ethnic minority women.

The main contents of this training class included: an introduction about the traditional industry and some solutions to extend and develop it; general information about existing industries locally; technology for improving the design and products; materials preliminary treatment and product process; guidance to developing the profession and increasing households’ income or other models; product consumption.

 

50 learners participated in this training class obtaining the theory and practice needed to produce a variety of products.

 

This training class, within the coordinating program between the Central of Vietnam Women’s Union and the Commission of Ethnic and Mountainous region, aims to develop traditional industries, enhance the knowledge and living standards of compatriots of various ethnic origins living in mountainous regions.
