Training on gender knowledge and gender mainstreaming in policy formulation to support the development of women enterprises and private sector
These training courses aimed not only to equip the basic knowledge for participants so that they continue to attend advanced courses on improving their capacity to formulate the policy recommendations, but also to make networks in this area.
Each training course was conducted with lectures and paticipatory approach and lasted for 4 days focusing on the basic knowledge of enterprises, policy, law and skills of gender mainstreaming with the training methods of lecturing and participatory.
From 21st to 26th September 2005, 43 participants who were selected from the above 3 training courses, attended the first advanced training course onGender mainstreaming in formulating policy to support the development of small and micro enterprises. one international expert from
The participants were provided the knowledge on macro economy, gender and economic policy, gender and the development of private sector, gender barriers and the development of small and micro enterprises, and equality in the development of the private sector.
Tentatively in 2006 there will be 2 officers from the Central Women’s Union selected for the short-course in
