Travel writing contest begins
"The entries can be about a real or imaginary trip you have taken. They can be about an adventure, or an experience that made a strong impression. All we want is that you will share with us what you got from your journey," said the editor-in-chief of the newspaper, who is also the head of the contest's organisation board.
The contest is a chance for anyone to find and express their creativity, according to Swedish Ambassador, Rolf Bergman.
Entries should be in Vietnamese and under 1,200 words; an entry can be in any literary form such as a short story, diary entry, or prose. All submissions should be mailed to the The Thao & Van Hoa newspaper at
There will be a VND15 million first prize (US$860), two VND8 million second prizes, and three VND5 million prizes granted at the contest's award ceremony, which is expected will be held at the end of May.
The best entries will be published in The Thao & Van Hoa newspaper and will also be showcased on the Let's Viet-VTC9 channel.
