President of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) Ha Thi Khiet, who is also Chairwoman of the National Committee for the Advancement of Women, made the remark while receiving the delegation of Cambodia's women, led by Minister of Women's Affairs Ing Kantha Phavi in Hanoi on October 10.
The Cambodian Minister said she hoped that the Vietnam Committee for the Advancement of Women will work closely with Cambodia and regional countries to deal with the problem of women trafficking.
Cambodia's women are ready to collaborate with Vietnam's women for hunger alleviation and to raise people's awareness on women's roles in society, she added.
Vietnam is making a plan for the development of women which includes five targets and 28 objectives representing women's equality in many fields and drafting Laws on Gender Equality and Against Domestic Violence, Ms Khiet said./.
