CARD MRI has supported VWU’s Tinh thuong Microfinance Institution (TYM) for staff capacity building and operation techniques since the early years of its establishment. According to Ms. Tran Lan Phuong, TYM's current total assets have reached more than 2,700 billion VND, equivalent to 1.3 billion USD. TYM is one of the best credit agencies in Viet Nam today with 21 branches in 13 provinces and cities nationwide.

Vice President Tran Lan Phuong expressed appreciation and thanks to CARD MRI for the valuable support since early days of TYM establishment. The ability to adapt itself to the microfinance situation in Vietnam has brought about TYM's achievements today, and CARD MRI has supported TYM a lot in this process.

The 13th National Women's Congress identified supporting women’s economic empowerment as one of the VWU’s key tasks. Therefore, in addition to TYM’s activities, the VWU has been implementing different financial programs to support women's economic development, e.g. coordinating with several banks in credit entrustment activities and implementing the Government’s Project to Support Women Start-up.

Dr. Jaime Aristotle B. Alip, Founder and Honorary President of CARD MRI was very impressed with the activities and achievements by the VWU and TYM in recent years. CARD MRI is a world leader in microfinance and social development to improve the life of women and families facing economic and social difficulties. Dr. Jaime Aristotle B. Alip proposed 3 areas for cooperation in the near future, i.e. digital transformation, training exchange between the two organizations’ academies, and microinsurance.

With the rich experience of the two organizations, the upcoming cooperation will surely bring benefits to both sides and contribute to the advancement of women and people of the 2 countries.
