A research conducted by the Vietnam Women's Union on married migrant women returning to Vietnam from Korea reveals many difficulties they face in terms of psychological, legal and financial matters.

On July 5th, the Vietnam Women’s Union and the Border Guards Command organized the signing ceremony of the Program "Supporting for women in border and island areas” in the 2021-2025 period and "Supporting for women to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic" in Hong Ngu city, Dong Thap province.

On the morning of June 2, Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) President Ha Thi Nga attended the "Meeting on the coordination mechanism to support farmers in harvesting and selling agricultural products in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic" coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD). In order to increase the percentage of women elected to the National Assembly and the People's Councils for the 2021-2026 term, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) has early directed its whole system on election work.

According to the quick information from some provincial Election Committees, the percentage of women elected to the provincial People's Council has reached over 30 percent - the target set out for the women’s representation in the People's Council at all levels.

In January, 2021, the Project Management Board held a workshop to review the project implementation in 2020 and work out the project plan for 2021 with the participation of leader representatives of Plan Vietnam, People's Committee, education sector, and Women's Union in the two project provinces.
