VWU's Two Important Upcoming Events
In celebration of the 115th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, on February 27, Vietnam Women’s Union will coordinate with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee to organize a National scientific conference on the role of the "Long-Haired Army" and the "Three Responsibilities" movement during the resistance war against the US. -
Advancing Women, Peace and Security Agenda: Role of Vietnam Women's Union
The Women, Peace and Security Agenda (WPS) was formally initiated by the landmark UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325), which was adopted in 2000, affirming the important role of women in conflict prevention and resolution, and peacebuilding. -
"Women-led Green Partnership" project to reduce vulnerability, loss and damage from climate change
On the morning of December 27, in Hanoi, Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Vietnam launched the Kick-off and planning workshop for the EU-funded "Women-led Green Partnership" project. The project aims at women empowerment in decision making processes related to climate change adaptation and mitigation in Viet Nam. -
Vietnam Women’s Union presents Tet gifts to social policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged women
On the occasion of the coming Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) at all levels has conducted visits and presented gifts to beneficiaries of social policy living in difficult circumstances, disadvantaged VWU members, and women in several provinces. Thousands of Tet gifts were presented to heroic Vietnamese mothers, mothers of martyrs, the elderly, disadvantaged women, children with disablity and border guards nationwide.
