In response to the increasingly complex situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Women's Unions at all levels in Quang Nam province and their members have had many meaningful and practical activities to spread love among their staffs, members, and women.

In recent years, the Vietnam Women's Union’s activities to support the collective economy model run by women have dramatically contributed to creating stable jobs and generating income for rural women, especially for ethnic minority women. From fragmented and single production, after joining cooperatives, production and business efficiency and income of women members have been significantly improved.

The figure was reported at the Conference on credit lending management and poverty eradication for women between 2015 and 2020 by Khanh Hoa provincial Women's Union.

From the beginning of the year, due to the COVID-19 epidemic and unstable weather, the diseases on cattle and poultry have affected production and daily life, making it difficult for many members and women.

A shelter was built in 2014 in Quang Tri province to support women and children survivors of domestic violence. Over the past few years, the shelter has assisted many unfortunate women, helping to reduce domestic violence and bring happiness to many families.

Responding to the call of the Ministry of Health and UNICEF Vietnam in the “Kindness is Contagious” campaign, Vietnam Women’s Publishing House with TYM MFI has launched a fundraising campaign to support women severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic – including TYM members. The fund is raised by selling the book “I’M HOME,” a diary of isolation during Covid-19 pandemic.

Female scientists who have successfully isolated the new strain of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, making Vietnam one of the first four countries to successfully isolate this virus, have received the Kovalevskaya Award 2019.
