American reporters to make film on Vietnamese Tet

Nearly 20 TV reporters and photographers from the United States will make a film and take photographs of traditional culture of Vietnam during the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Dog.

Hanoi Tourism Corporation said they would hold a trans-Vietnam tour for these reporters from January 18-29.

The visitors are expected to learn about diverse natural scenery, traditional practice and modern life in Vietnam at the time when the country is welcoming the new year, said the firm.

The American reporters will have a chance to view peach and apricot flowers blossoming, call at Bac Ha market and sleep at ethnic minority groups’ homes in Sa Pa, Lao Cai province.

They will join a family in Hanoi in worship ceremony o­n lunar December 23 when the Kitchen God reports to the King of Heaven and welcome New Year in Ho Chi Minh City six days later.
