Launching “texting program” to support women in border areas

The national humanitarian portal (1406) has been opened since 28 February to receive supporting messages from WUs at all levels, its staff, member, women. Each text message “BC” sent to 1406 will contribute VND 20,000 (nearly $1) to the fund.

This is one of the main activities launched by the Central Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) to celebrate the 13th National Women's Congress (2022-2027 term) which is scheduled to be held from 9th to 11th March, 2022 in Hanoi.

The program calls for text message to support women in border areas

Over the past years, the program "Supporting women in border areas” has made a positive change for many women's families in border areas. It has not only motivated women but also brought them opportunities for livelihood, jobs, hunger elimination and  poverty reduction, etc, thus, contributing to build strong border areas.
