Mme. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, President of Vietnam Women’s Union Received South Africa Ambassador.

In the morning of 1 April 2008, at the Headoffice of Vietnam Women’s Union, Mme. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, member of the Central Party’s Committee, President of the Vietnam Women’s Union, received the Ambassador of South Africa in Viet Nam, Mr.Ratubatshi Super Moloi.

 At the meeting, Mr. Moloi highly appreciated the achivements of VWU in the field of women’s empowermentin economy, education, HIV/AIDS prevention…According to him, women in both South Africa and Vietnam share a lot of similarities in actively participating in every field of nation’s political, social – economic life. There are a lot of independent organizations of women in South Africa of which Gender Committee has a function of an advisor to the South African Government o­n gender policies and law. The Ambassador expressed his willing and commitment that the South Africa Embassy in Vietnam will be a bridge between South Africa Committee and VWU for futher strengthen cooperation and exchange delegations to share and learn each other’s experiences. Especially, the Gender Committee would like to learn experience of VWU in building its structure as an unique national organization of women in Vietnam. Mme. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa thanked the Ambassador for his commence and fullu supported his initiative for enhancing the cooperation between the South Africa Gender Committee and VWU in the future.
