Two Americans become VAVA honourable members

22/12/2006
Americans on Dec. 19 became honourable members of the Viet Nam Association of Victims of Agent Orange (VAVA).

They are Mrs Merle Ratner and her husband, a Vietnamese American, Ngo Thanh Nhan. Their admission brought the total number of VAVA's foreign and overseas Vietnamese members to six.

As the founders and coordinators of the US-based "Vietnamese Agent Orange Relief and Responsibility Campaign" organisation set up in 2005, the couple have spared no effort in calling for worldwide support for the Agent Orange victims in Viet Nam over the past years.

The organisation plans to support VAVA members' trip to the US to attend a lawsuit of AO victims against US chemical producers, which is slated for April, 2007.
