Vietnam Women’s Union confers the Merit Medal to 8 individuals
8 individuals are: Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long (Director of the HIV/AIDS prevention Department), Mr. Le Anh Tuan (Deputy Head of the Planning Division, HIV/AIDS prevention Department), Mr. Dang Quoc Viet (Director of the Health Communication and Education Center, Ministry of Health), Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lam (Vice- Director, Vietnam Nutrition Institute), Mrs. Trinh Thi Hue (former senior specialist on communication, Health Education Center), Mr. Nguyen Duy Khe (Director, Department of Mother and Children’s Health), Mrs. Dinh Thi Phuong Hoa (Vice- Director, Department of Mother and Children’s Health), and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Mai (senior staff, World Bank in Vietnam).
Making speech at the ceremony, Mrs. H’Ngam Nie K’Dam praised the achievements that 8 individuals contributed to gender equality and development of women, as well as initiatives and efforts they made to prevent HIV/AIDS – a fatal disease is threatening women seriously.
