Vietnamese students compete in UK footbal
The 4th SVUK Cup football tournament took place from April 3 – 4 in the UK city of Nottingham, drawing the participation of 500 Vietnamese students enrolled in UK universities.
The event was sponsored by the Vietnamese embassy in the United Kingdom, whose staff attended the opening ceremony and supported Vietnamese students in the competition.
Team London 3 won the championship for the third consecutive time while Nottingham 2 secured the silver medal.
SVUK Cup is held annually and has won praise for its positive impact on the sports movement among Vietnamese students across the UK. It also serves as a social get-together for them to meet their compatriots.
