Vietnamese women's football team wins gold medal at 23rd SEA Games
The Vietnamese women's football team won 1-0 in the final match against Myanmar at the 23rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in the Philippines on December 3.
The only goal of the match was scored by Van Thi Thanh in the 67th minute from a penalty kick. So, the Vietnamese women's football team successfully defended their championship at the 23rd SEA Games for the third consecutive time.
The gold medal is the most valuable ones, bringing Vietnamese number of gold medals to seven on December 3, and helping the country regain the second place in the medal tally at the 23rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games from Thailand.
So far, the Vietnamese delegation has bagged 55 golds, 49 silvers and 56 bronzes.
