Women delegates from Vientiane, Laos visit the Vietnam Women’s Union

While visiting and working with the Hanoi Women’s Union, on the afternoon of 23rd August, the delegation of the Vientiane Women’s Union, headed by Mme. Bualon Vong Dalaxen, President of the Vientiane Women’s Union, visited the Vietnam Women’s Union. The delegation was received by Mme. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Women’s Union.

At the reception, Standing Vice President Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa briefed the delegation about recent achievements made by the Vietnam Women’s Union and some key tasks being implemented. In particular, the Standing Vice President highlighted two important events to be held in the coming period: the National Conference of Commending Talented Women and the 10th National Congress of Women.

In addition, the Vietnam Women’s Union will continue to renew its operational programs and measures in the coming period, propose measures to create jobs for women, eliminate poverty, consolidate and develop the structure of women’s unions, and enhance women’s role in keeping their families happy.

On behalf of the delegation, Mme. Bualon Vong Dalaxen expressed her gratitude for the sincere sentiments and the great support that the Vietnam Women’s Union has given to the Lao Women’s Union in general and the Vientiane Women’s Union in particular. She said that she highly appreciated the experiences that the Vietnam Women’s Union shared with Lao’s women, especially in consolidating the structure of women’s unions, creating jobs and eliminating poverty for women.

On the occasion of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the 77th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Women’s Union, especially the coming 10th National Congress of Women, Mme. Bualon Vong Dalaxen conveyed her best wishes to Vietnamese women.

At the reception, the two sides expressed the belief that the close relationship between the two countries would be strengthened, facilitating the study and exchange of experiences between Vietnamese and Laotian women.
