Brits share for book fair

An international book festival will take place in Ho Chi Minh City on April 23, the UNESCO nominated reading day.

After UNESCO pegged April 23 as International Reading Day, The British Council teamed with Vietnamese publishers to organise the international book festival, will be held at the New World Hotel.


It includes a program for kids, performed by British artists, including children’s story teller Cassandra Wye. o­n an adult note, FAHASA, NXB Oxford, NXB Pearson Longman, Tre and Lego will join the event.


The program ‘Together: reading and sharing’ encourages visitors to donate old books to the HCM City library for disadvantage people. Donations will be rewarded with a new book from Oxford.
