Thuy takes silver at 39th Bowling Open

The Vietnamese player is thrilled with the results as the tournament drew strong bowlers from 20 countries and territories in the world.
Thuy's teammates, Nguyen To Nhu Y and Dinh Minh Dung also qualified for the final round of the Youth Girls and Boys Under-16, respectively. But the two juniors' athletes failed to win medals.

The event is expected to attract 100 athletes from 10 countries and 150 Vietnamese players with total money prize of US$40,000.
According to the organising committee, the event will be a tough test for Vietnamese athletes when they take on top leaders, including Nepomuceno from the Philippines, who has won four world champion titles, three-time Asian champion Remy ong from Singapore and Malaysian Sarah Yam, who was the women's world champion in 2003.
