Vietnam women’s football face difficult draw of Asian championship

The newspaper said that Vietnam are grouped with Asian powerhouses China, Japan and Taiwan.

Two other teams of Southeast Asia, Thailand and Myanmar, will play against the People’s Democratic Republic of Korea, the Republic of Korea and hosts Australia.

The winners and runners-up will qualify for the 2007 World Cup. The third-placed team will compete in a play-off match with a team from CONCACAF.
